Pam was raised in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and started out as
an accounting major. She started her
professional life as the Assistant to the Clerk-Treasurer at Woodridge Local
School District. When her daughter was
born she left the wider workplace to be at home until her daughter went to middle
school. She then did accounting for Thompson
Electric until a job transfer sent her family to Texas. There she worked as a secretary at a high
school.
In 2000, she took a career change and became a preschool
teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina teaching 2 year olds and found her
passion. Two years later her family
moved to Marietta, Georgia where she taught 3 year olds. Her preschool
experience has been enriched by having taught 2, 3 and 4 year olds at six
Preschools in 3 different states. Each
experience with different curriculums and programs has given her a broad understanding
of what a preschool can offer these young minds. She returned to Ohio in 2005
and continued teaching 3 and 4 year olds for 4 years in the Columbus area. In 2009, she returned to the Akron area and started
teaching in our preschool as well as the preschool at First United Methodist
Church in Cuyahoga Falls. In the latter
half of 2009 she came full time to teach at Fairlawn West Preschool. She became the Co-Director in 2011 and
continues to teach as well. She has had
many years of additional course work in early childhood education.
Her daughter, Jennifer, was a graduate of Ohio State
University and was a veterinarian in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She was blessed and fortunate to have had her
for 32 years.
